A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the Oregon coast Thursday morning.

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck off the Oregon Coast on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey. While the epicenter was 177 miles offshore from the coastal town of Bandon, shaking was widely felt on land.
The quake hit at 8:08 a.m. local time at a depth of about 3 miles. The epicenter was 183 miles east of Coos Bay, 197 miles east-northeast from Newport and 251 miles east-northeast from Salem. Shaking was felt in Portland and Eugene and as far east as Bend.
A tsunami isn't expected with this quake.
The quake was initially reported as magnitude 6.4 and shortly after was downgraded to 6.3.
