Busia police officer who invited street kids to wedding loses husband 2 weeks after event ▷ Kenya News


- Doris Wako met her high school sweetheart 21 years ago when they studied together
- The two long time lovers later married and were blessed with five children
- They solemnised their union on August 18 2019 at a church ceremony attended by street children
A Busia-based female police officer Doris Wako and family are mourning the sudden demise of her loving husband whom she met in high school 21 years ago.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, a distraught constable Wako confirmed the father of her five children collapsed and died on the spot on the night of Wednesday, September 5.Doris Wako.

The officer who is attached to Busia police station also confirmed the deceased was not ailing at the time of his death.
"My husband collapsed and died just like that. He was not sick and did not complain of anything prior to the incident," she told TUKO.co.ke.
The two lovers solemnised their union on Sunday, August 18 2019, in front of friends and family at Our Lady of Grace and Compassion Primary School Matayos constituency.

“I don’t see anything extraordinary to invite these good friends of mine on such a memorable day in my life. They are normal human beings just facing challenges back at home that push them to the streets," she said after the nuptials.
The officer is celebrated for embracing street urchins whom she feeds and takes care of as her own using her salary.Doris Wako.
