Breaking: Kwankwaso attacked in Kano, 10 injured in his convoyA former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has been attacked alongside his convoy by persons believed to be political thugs in Kano.
The attack was carried out on Monday on the former representative of Kano Central Senatorial District.
It occurred not long after Kwankwaso opened a midwifery school in his hometown, Madobi.
His media aide, Hajiya Binta Sipikin, has accused the State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, of being behind the attack.
Sipikin said it was carried out by thugs loyal to Ganduje.
She said: “This attack was preplanned because we were told that heaviluarmed thugs were waiting under the bridge to attack us when we were coming from Madobi.
“We believe Ganduje was behind this attack because we heard one of his aide’s names being mentioned during the attack.”
